The Natural
Watching The Natural tonight reminded me of something many financial advisors need to hear.
Roy Hobbs dreamed of playing Major League Baseball.
His original path was destroyed.
Years later, he found a different one.
That's a lesson worth remembering.
Too many advisors assume that if their current path isn't working, their dream isn't possible.
Maybe seminars stopped working.
Maybe referrals slowed down.
Maybe the niche you chose years ago no longer fits.
Maybe AI has changed the game.
None of that means the dream is over.
It may simply mean the path has changed.
The advisor who succeeds over the next decade won't necessarily be the smartest advisor.
It will be the advisor willing to adapt without abandoning who they are.
The destination doesn't have to change just because the route does.
A blocked path is not a broken dream.
Sometimes the breakthrough comes when you stop asking, "Why isn't this working?"
And start asking, "What other path gets me where I want to go?"
